Marin County Aging and Adult Services, also known as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), is a vital resource for older adults and their family caregivers in Marin County. As the leading planner, administrator, and funder of services for people aged 60 and above, AAA plays a central role in ensuring that seniors receive the care and support they need to age with dignity and independence.
Services Offered by AAA

Marin Commission on Aging
The Marin County Board of Supervisors established the Marin County Commission on Aging to better serve the needs of the aging population. This commission serves as an advisory body to the AAA and focuses on promoting the dignity, independence, and quality of life of older adults in the county.
Mission
The Commission on Aging is dedicated to advocating for the needs of older adults, providing information, and supporting programs and services that enhance the lives of seniors in Marin.
Membership Qualifications
The Commission is composed of a majority of members who are 60 years or older.
It includes service providers and members who represent the community’s diverse geographic, racial, economic, and social backgrounds.
At least one member represents the interests of individuals with disabilities.
Meetings
The Marin County Commission on Aging holds regular meetings on the second Monday of each month from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. This consistent schedule encourages community participation and ensures that the voices of seniors and their caregivers are heard.
